Top 10 Most Beautiful Mountains in the Philippines

Forget about your troubles. Let’s take a short walk into 10 of the most beautiful mountains that have caught the fancy of many a fun-loving Filipino.

Mountains maybe an aberration, changing an otherwise plain landscape into an uneven design of rise and fall. But they’re a beautiful aberration. Mark my words. So beautiful that many a heart of mighty men – since man learned to make use of his feet – have been charmed and captivated by their grandeur and innate beauty. Climbing them even when the dangers are well beyond manageable. For some, the higher, the more challenging, the better. Even to the point of death. Tough luck! But it may well be worth it. They say mountains are the front row seats to appreciate God’s art works.

I’m sure there are other mountains that deserves to be on the top given we have more than 7,000 islands but I guess these are the ones that are easier to access and of course, more people have had experienced with already. Still, great list nonetheless!

What is the criteria in choosing the above list? Is this a personal preference? I have climbed all of this mountains (bragging aside) and I can say there are other mountains more deserving. A good example is mt. hamiguitan which is now a UNESCO heritage site.

  6. Kurt says:

Osmeña Peak is great too. considering the fact that after climbing the peak, you can trek down to Kawasan Falls.

  10. Alfred says:

i mean no disrespect but i’m afraid that this list is not comprehensive. i have not been to 2-3 mountains on the list and many entries don’t deserve a spot on this list. though beauty may be subjective but it’s subjectivity must start from a common line and many of the mountains on the list can’t even make the cut. Kibungan and Kabunian in Benguet, and Mt. Iglit in Negros Occidental can easily topple pulag from it’s rank (with the exception of it’s summit view). let’s be responsible with our write-ups.
