Nobody would have thought it. How could a such trendsetter goliath as big as Nokia fall? But it did. Thanks to poor vision and Android.
Today, you could still see a lot of Nokia phones being lobbied around. It’s still an everyday device, no doubt. But it has taken a secondary role, a backseat so to speak and is used solely for texting and once-in-a-blue-moon calling. When the topic turns into the internet and getting logged unto the world wide web, you’re bound to bump into the new ‘King of the Jungle’: Android.
Fact is, in the 3rd Quarter of 2013, over 70% of smartphones were running on Android. In number that’s about 80 billion units, roughly 50 billion more than iOS-devices, according to TechRepublic.com. Sorry, Steve Jobs, no offense.
